Passion Projects

I enjoy making creative projects for fun outside of client work.
Below is a handful of passion projects that I made with love.

Fan Project

Choose Your Hero

Choose Your Hero is an interactive wheel that classifies the protagonists of Square Enix's Final Fantasy series by Pearson's System of heroic archetypes. The rings are organized in the chronology of Final Fantasy II - XIII. The color spectrum represents the range of warmer to colder personalities.

Jasmine Creamery

Working at AFM Contract allowed me to design and fabricate my own furniture. I fell in love with Interior Design and how a thoughtfully designed space not only shapes a visitor’s experience but also enhances a brand.

I collaborated TC Slamet on the branding of her Southeast Asian gelato business, Jasmine Creamery in Irvine, CA. As an extension of her brand, I designed and oversaw the fabrication of a custom counter for her retail store.

Personal Project

Dearly Beloved

To celebrate our joint Bachelor/Bachelorette Trip in Santa Barbara and Pismo Beach, I designed jerseys for everyone to wear. I illustrated our cats Potato and Sophie and turned them into our team mascot. The number on the back is the number of years each friend has known us. My husband and I wore contrasting white jerseys with our wedding date, 12/09!

Fan Project

Odesza Light Up Backpack

Celebrating my love for electronic music duo Odesza, I created a light up backpack out of glowing LED wire and vinyl for their 2018 show at Red Rocks Amphitheater. The light up backpack doubles as a beacon that I can hold up in crowds to help my friends find me if we ever get separated.

Fan Project

“Suzume” Prop Chair

I cosplayed the title character from Makoto Shinkai’s “Suzume” at San Diego Comic Con 2023 and crafted her three-legged chair companion. After trying to build it out of wood, I opted to make it with foam boards and dowel rods so it would be easier to carry around the convention. The chair was very popular and we were stopped a lot for photos. It returned home from the convention safely and in one piece!
